Aim at the highest possible good that you can conceive of. Having aligned yourself with that good, speak the truth and see what happens. That's the act of faith as whatever the truth reveals is the best of both possible worlds regardless of how it appears to you now.

You can fight your tendency to procrastinate by setting meaningful goals and having an effective schedule that you can actually stick to.

I fell in love with my wife, Tammy, the moment I saw her.

I was about seven at the time (that’s 48 years ago), and she lived just across the street from me. So, you can imagine what an awful lot of memories we share.

This is one of my earliest memories of her:

In grade five I got glasses, and I was proud of it. So, I asked her what she thought about them, and I was met with this 'vicious' answer: "You look really funny with those." Then she ran into her house.

Twenty years later, she confessed to me that she always wanted glasses and that was her jealousy speaking.

It's shocking how many people that live in Western societies have become afraid to say what they think. In the UK, the police started prosecuting people for crimes of offensiveness, and it's deeply saddening to see the British people, who have a phenomenal sense of humor, go down this road. Comedy is the central core of individual sovereignty and freedom. You are not free if you can't be funny.

I debated this topic with Dave Rubin in a recent lecture I gave in Norway. You can find it on my YouTube Channel.

We must each adopt as much responsibility as possible for individual life, society and the world. We must each tell the truth and repair what is in disrepair and break down and recreate what is old and outdated. It is in this manner that we can and must reduce the suffering that poisons the world. It’s asking a lot. It’s asking for everything. #12rulesforlife

I have been in London many times this year, working with Penguin Random House UK. In front of the BBC studios, there is a statue of George Orwell. Its presence gave rise to this video on free thought and free speech.

Rule 4: Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today. #12rulesforlife

Stop saying things that make you weak. This video is part of my "Biblical Series VII: Walking with God". You can find it on YouTube or my podcast.
