Special mossy knoll I found above our new sanctuary.

Our last family pic before we left our previous home in Baoding, China. A favorite street snack.

I was glazed over at the store yesterday in the office supply sections. You feel so many things re-entering life after living in a foreign country. One is disorientation. As I turned around my eyes met the card rack and only one card came into focus. Perfect.

Most of you know we are back in the US. We are working on our final "Living in China" post but wanted to share our 4th special winter travel episode. We had so much fun in Shanghai! Disneyland was so special!! See profile for the episode link plus more.

Sanctuary of the heart.

We had Thanksgiving dinner in August. Now Christmas dinner in February!

A little bit of a different view out our window this morning in contrast to our apartment view in Baoding just a few days ago.

Crazy update. We are headed back to the States early. We've lived in China for 5 months but because of family circumstances we needed to return early. We are so excited to see family and friends but will truly miss so many good friends here. Until next time. (Image is of the LotUs Pond at the Ancient Lotus Garden in Baoding. I took it as we strolled through it for our last day yesterday. So beautiful. )

New Family Vlog Episode up. Yes, that is us riding elephants. Such a great experience. And we got to raft and swim on the River Kwai. We survived three of us getting the flu while traveling too. More to come. Here is our special winter trip episode #2. See link on profile. #elephants #Thailand #familyvlog #bergquistfamilyadventure

Happy Lunar New Years Eve. Firecrackers going off in the distance and food stocked up for the holiday. Restaurants and grocery stores are closed and we are ready to cook dumplings to welcome in the year of the rooster!

At least it is warmer inside than the -10° C (14°F) outside. Winter in N. China
