Well played lads but it was Australia's day.
ENGLAND: 403/10
Australia: 203/3
Well played Smith 92*
We are going to see third brilliant πŸ’― of the match and second of the series from the skipper. He's perfect example of Captain leading from the front". He was playing with a strike rate of 75+ which he generally doesn't.
ENGLAND's lower order batting is hurting them know with the scoreboard doesn't look like enough, it may be because of the intent batting from Steve Smith. He didn't miss a chance or gave a chance.
Hardwork for the bowlers and they did well to take three wickets. Overton was superb, bang on money quite every delivery. Woakes got Khawaja after that missed opportunity at slips.
Australia will get to 400 or maybe more than that if Smith keep on batting after his πŸ’― and ENGLAND didn't have a perfect plan to get his wicket. Such a fine player he is. Because ENGLAND tried everything but they couldn't stop Smith or get him out. India tried many things but they too didn't have any perfect plan for him. This shows how well this guy plays this format. It will be century number 22 for him tomorrow.

This picture sums up his innings but not ENGLAND's. CONGRATULATIONS @jbairstow21 πŸ‘πŸ‘‘ very well played πŸ‘
We end up 403!
Malan: 140
Bairstow: 119
STONEMAN: 56
The thing is Australia bowled very well. There were mis opportunities and bad luck but still they managed to restrict ENGLAND for 403 with that big partnership. Major concern for ENGLAND again is the lower order batting. 368/4 then 403/10, they lost six wickets for 35 which now gave Australia a chance of a comeback. We now have to bowl very well to get all of them out cheaply. Hard work for the bowlers because the pitch is good for batting.
PS: Australian bowlers were brilliant with the ball. Bowling fast with the speed of 140+KJS and perfect line and length. Match is evenly poised.

This is something we don't often see. Opposition having a chat with a smile.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Live Score: 361/4
CONGRATULATIONS @jbairstow21 for your first πŸ’― against Australia in Australia πŸ‘‘
Partnership: 230 which is the highest for fifth wicket against Australia by ENGLAND.

DAWID Malan's press conference!
He spoke his heart out and I really liked that honesty.
Michael Vaughan asked him in the post match analysis "Whom did you point at after scoring πŸ’―?
Malan: "My parents were there in the stands along with my Mrs!"
Your parents must be proud of you as the whole nation is.

"THEY BROKE HIS BAT AND HIS HAT BUT NOT HIS SPIRIT"
SAID by Paul Hayward
Electrifying innings from Mark StonemanπŸ‘ First 20-30 runs he made with a strike rate of 100 and he really took the attack to the opposition. He took those pacers on and played brilliantly. He set the base for the guys following up. It's not the runs that can define how good you played. He seriously deserved a πŸ’―. The way he got out was unfortunate. After so much of hard work and dedication if you get out like that then it feels bad, Seriously bad.
I was watching the game when he hit at the helmet, it was a nasty blow. It's never nice to see anyone get hit like that. It may have hurt him much more than he showed. Because the area he hit was seriously sensitive. Australian players have been nice, kind enough to check if he's okay. Then what we see, he changes the helmet and starts batting beautifully.πŸ‘Œ Seriously a gutsy innings. He's a class player no doubt about it but today we saw his mental toughness. He was sledged by the bowlers, trying to unsettle him but he stood tall. Definitely he deserves his position. Well played STONEMAN πŸ‘

Root got out on 20. He looked really good at the crease, hitting the balls well. I just want to say it's unlucky. The pitch is so good to bat on specially when you do have passed the tough phase then you get out like that, it's Seriously unlucky. He was unhappy and frustrated. He spoke yesterday that he's frustrated because he couldn't lead from the front with runs and he will try to do that in this test. He did come out with the intent but just unlucky. At the end of the day he knows that what happened that won him truly. The young guys stood up to the occasion and battled hard. They put Australia under pressure and they didn't just let them bowl their line. That πŸ’― we asked for and we got from @djmalan29 . The thing that is more special than that πŸ’― is, he's still not out and he just kept going after the πŸ’―. These guys had just one thing in the mind that they had to score for their country not for themselves. Good point, you don't actually see ENGLAND these days 300/4 without Cook or Root getting big. We talked about it that it has to change and now it is changing. Don't forget to appreciate that man who batted and set the base for the guys following @mark23stone πŸ‘ He was sledged but he just didn't put that into his head and just kept going. (Next post for STONEMAN)
Waiting to see another brilliant πŸ’― by @jbairstow21 πŸ‘

So this picture sums up ENGLAND's day.
Root won the toss and elected to bat first earlier today. First it got tricky with the four WICKETS in quick time but then the partnership which is unbroken at 174* (308b).
Malan will that big πŸ’― played brilliantly πŸ‘ Bairstow 75*, hopefully he will get his πŸ’― tomorrow. CONGRATULATIONS Malan for his maiden test πŸ’―. He's the fifth English Batsman to get a πŸ’― against Australia at WACA.
CONGRATULATIONS Bairstow for completing 3000 test runsπŸ‘
You two made batting look so easy πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ Work to do tomorrow πŸ‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
Ben Stokes played a brilliant innings for Canterbury 93 (47b) with seven 6s. So a very good day for English lads πŸ‘‘

PS: Talking about Root's reaction when STONEMAN was given out. It was correct, maybe we don't know. But you have to accept the decision whatever it is from the umpires. But because they didn't give enough evidences therefore Joe reacted like that. We all thought the same, no mark on the hotspot and that sound maybe from top of the handle or something else. Also earlier in the series the way Moeen given out, so you can't just judge. It's the emotions that comes out in these kinds of situations. I have started liking this man, I mean he was standing there till the end and that hug to the players. Captain's need to do that ,every occasion.

So finally it's 150th test for Cook.
CONGRATULATIONS Alastair Cook πŸ‘‘

Cook lbw to Starc for 7

PC: @espncricinfo

The day DECEMBER 14, Cooky's 150th test. The first English men to play 150 test matches and the most successful test batsman for England. For me the best ever opening batsman I have ever seen. The reason he's playing his 150th test match is the character which is necessary for every test batsman. I have been a fan of his captaincy more than his batting, actually fan of his selfless batting and captaincy, I admire him a lot. Such a calm, cool, soft spoken person he is❀.He never likes to be involved in sledging or those kinds of acts. He always tries to focus on his game and if someone tries to sledge him, he just takes the words and concerntrates back on his game. He is the best at his job. He's the fastest to 11,000 runs and that's not a small thing. People say he can break Sachin's record of most test runs. I can see it happening.πŸ‘‘
He is a man who can do it and he will do it. One thing I want to clear that he's going to play for more than 4 years so there's should not be any questions. He's not going to retire.
It takes a lot to be England's captain because of it's history, past records and wherever they lose they just get criticism because of that past. Other than these things, it's naturally hard to be a captain. He had highs and lows in his career. He worked hard on himself, with his team and made England's test side that what it is today. He was out of the form at some point of time in his career, he struggled, he failed but everytime he managed to stand-up and face the world. It's really hard to start things all over again with that same passion, aggression and he is the only one I have seen who has managed to do it again and again. It takes a real metal effort to be back like the old ones. We have seen Cooky getting out on low scores but we have also seen him scoring πŸ’― in difficult conditions, lead by example. It's really hard for an opening batsman to make big scores while you have to resist that new ball and that's why he's a legend. He is the master of batting in those conditions.
Tomorrow he will be working out wearing that 3 lions cap marked 150, we may get to see a new Alastair Cook all over again.πŸ‘‘
