Jump to honor recap –
Just over a month ago, five brothers and I jumped from 13,000ft to as a way to honor the 1% of Americans who put service to country above themselves and join the military. @beardedvillains_indiana spent months raising funds to assist the Pittsboro Young Marines in building a Veterans Memorial to pay homage to Veterans of their local community both young and old. Through various networking and pleading, we were able to raise $3500 to assist in this endeavor for the Young Marines.
Five of us jumped, plus @Jumpjunkie75, who spearheaded the concept along with filming a brother’s jump. Each one of us jumped for a different branch of the military, myself for the Army as I have strong ties with both family and my profession to this branch. The Army means a great deal to myself as my brother, and nephew are both soldiers, along with my grandfather in WWII.
It was an honor and a humbling experience for myself and all of us to give back to a small community that wants to provide Veterans a sliver of the respect they deserve. We couldn’t be happier to have the ability to leap from 13,000ft in the air and return to the land we love, the land of the free because of the sacrifices that are paid by those brave enough to fight for us.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone who donated to this cause. We appreciate your support!
