The concrete jungle. The abandoned city of Pripyat with Chernobyl in the background. By far my favourite photo I took in all of my travels. The feeling of standing on top of the apartment complex looking over the city, thinking what I've just seen and experienced over the 2 days and taking it all in was indescribable. like a weird feeling of belonging. Well that's the end of my Chernobyl journey.hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into these beautiful ruins. Back to the reality 😅
View from the top of the Duga. The Duga was also known as 'The Russian woodpecker'. It picked up this name due the the shortwave radio bands which would appear with out warning, giving a sharp, repetitive tapping noise at 10 Hz.
Duga Radar. The duga was a radar system used as part of the Soviet anti-ballistic missile early-warning network. Don't be fooled about the size, I took this photo on top of a 3 story building. This thing is massive..150m high and 500m wide. Guess what? I climbed this monster and I was terrified. 😅
