A lot of people question why I still lift while pregnant. To be honest, I used to be very against it. I did not lift while pregnant with Lincoln, and it was a very difficult pregnancy and scary labor. Lifting, swimming and overall exercise during my pregnancy now with Liv, has helped with so much. I have more energy, do not suffer from the back aches, hip pain, swelling and limp that I had with Lincoln, and I am staying at a healthier body weight. The more active I am, the better I feel, and the more baby moves. She is doing great! I do not lift heavy, and I do not do anything that I feel puts her at risk. She absolutely comes first! If anything I lift BECAUSE I am pregnant. I lift for her. I lift so that I can have a healthy rest of my pregnancy and delivery.
