Sunday: Home after a long trip. Brooklyn, New York.

Friday in Scottsdale, Arizona. My golf equipment seems to have changed since last I played this sport.

Thursday: stuck in a hotel room in Phoenix … with a Phantom and jar of melatonin.

Wednesday: Los Angeles.

Happy to hear my short doc “How China is Changing Your Internet” took a third place award at World Press Photo’s 2017 Multimedia Contest, Short Form category.
Many thanks @worldpressphoto! And congrats @the_great_porrino and @morethansarah!

Making it snow with Trapcode Particular in PyeongChang, South Korea (not to be confused with Pyongyang, North Korea). In 365 days, these slopes will host the 2018 Winter Olympics. Hopefully by then, VFX wont be necessary.

Shooting this week in Korea with Sigma’s new-ish high speed cine zooms (18-35 T2 and 50-100 T2). The image is certainly very sharp on both lenses, finding focus feels easy. The 18-35 is particularly useful, and even without a follow focus I'm a fan of the 180 degree focus rotation. I might feel different if I had to do some huge pulls but so far so good. However, moving from 50 to100 or from 18 to 35 is a fairly slow procedure. Hard to say this is the best setup for solo shooters, if you’re not in controlled environments.
But overall they are pretty useful lenses. Id want them in my bag.

Getting setup.

New York City's subway system is so baby unfriendly, even the art has to fold up its stroller to ride.
