Tuesdays call for chocolate layer cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting. Yum! Dry Ingredients: 2 cups white sugar 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup cocoa powder 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients: 2 large eggs 1 cup whole milk 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 cup boiling water
Frosting: 2 8oz bars of J&J Cream Cheese, softened 1 cup confectioners sugar 3 tbsp cocoa powder 2 ½ tbsp milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 cup chocolate chips optional
Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 2 9-inch round baking pans. Stir together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add wet ingredients and beat with a mixer. Mix in boiling water. Divide into prepared pans. Bake 25 minutes or until pick comes out clean. Set the pans on wire racks, cool and remove from pan. Mix together frosting, frost layers and place. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, cut and serve . .
