Jimmy Chin  National Geographic Photographer // Filmmaker // North Face Athlete

Ciao for now. You never disappoint....

Tis the season....Everest North Face and a clear view of the Hornbein Couloir. The mountain still hasn't seen a new route since the Russians climbed a directissima straight up the middle of the 9000ft North Face in 2004. Hope it's a safe season for everyone... #film

Everyone has their morning rituals to get them out the door. @hanahliving stopped by to film a typical morning this winter....they pretty much nailed it and probably shared a bit more than I prefer but that's what happens when you let someone in the house to film first thing in the morning. Check the link in my bio if you want to see me half awake. 📸@jxnfigs

Some people need a bit more space to feel comfortable.... Airing it out w the one and only @conrad_anker ⚓️ #dontlookdown

So proud of our community of climbers and friends from the outdoor industry who showed up in DC last week to lobby Congress on behalf of our public lands and protecting the environment that is so dear to us. Big thanks to the @accessfund @americanalpine @jhmgphil @brady_robinson and all that showed up to share their thoughts and give voice to some of our favorite places w the Senators and Representatives on Capitol Hill. Wish I could have been there to see all my favorite dirtbags dressed up for Congress. #climbthehill @alexhonnold @tommycaldwell @ljsauter @carolinegleich @sashadigiulian

Thanks to @pdnonline #photoannual for the love... @felipe.camargo sending big on the Getu Arch, China.

Went in for a casual cupping session....apparently my back was a little tight....

A fine day in the big ditch... @conrad_anker sending the big E in a day and receiving his official bill of good health from Dr Spock. @thenorthface @natgeo

Spent the day thinking of @steckueli while looking through the archives for a photo of him. Nice to remember the big grin and the glint in his eye. Ueli died yesterday climbing in the Himalaya. We lost a grand human being. It was an honor to cross paths and work together with him over the years and I always felt fortunate to get a small slice of his knowledge and perspective on life and the mountains. Time with Ueli was always awe inducing particularly because you knew how much he could be doing with an hour. Those moments and thoughts will certainly be treasured. Thanks for your time Ueli. My deepest condolences to the family. RIP

Thanks to all those that march today for the planet, for the climate. This shouldn't be a political issue. The US is the only industrialized country that does not embrace the science behind climate change.
We’re still debating whether it’s real, while the rest of the world has moved on to clean energy innovation and leadership. Thanks for the vision @jeremyjones. #peoplesclimatemarch #march4pow @protectourwinters
