Lately I’ve been doing a whole lot more of sitting back and going with the flow. For someone who always has a plan, can’t sit still and always has a million things on the go, pregnancy is a constant reminder to sit back and enjoy every day as it comes. I have no idea what to expect, I just roll with it and couldn’t be happier 💕

Sunday workout sessions are my favourite❗️It’s so strange sharing my body and energy - I was planning to get my workout done early but could barely keep my eye open this morning. By the afternoon I felt like a totally different person and had the best workout I’ve had in a long time 👊 my body is definitely not all mine atm...but my little bean still makes the best workout partner 💕.

Bump life 💛 aching back and hips, waking up hungry at 3am and the challenge of tying my shoes is coming close to rivalling some of my workouts 🙊 but I couldn’t be happier.

Current nutrition - I’ve definitely noticed my appetite increase over the last few weeks 🤰🏼 I’ve been eating intuitively for the most part and tracking my meals to keep track of how my appetite is changing. My daily calories have increased with more calories coming from fats and carbs 👍 I’m still loving my favourite post workout protein shake (@prosupps Peanut Butter cookie Isolate, glutamine & creatine). I usually include 15-20g dextrose in my shake but I’ve dropped this as my workouts aren’t overly intense and I haven’t felt that I need it for replenishment and recovery. The majority of my nutrients is coming for real & nutritious foods...and of course there’s the odd pizza and chocolate too.

Heading into week 22 - I’ve had a major growth spurt over the last few weeks 🤰🏼.

This week my training has been back on track after a very busy week last week. Training is usually a time for me to relax and zone out after a stressful day but last week was so hectic that it left be feeling completely exhausted and training just wasn’t my number ☝️ priority.
.

It’s a strange and amazing sensation to share my body and energy with this little bean and the best I can do is listen to my body and give it what it needs. Sometimes that’s rest...something I’m not always the best at doing 🙈 But keeping as active as I feel I can has made such a difference. I couldn’t imagine pregnancy without my fitness. For me, getting nutrients from healthy foods and exercise has been the best thing I could do to keep me feeling like myself and create a healthy & happy home for bubs.
