These words have stuck in my Spirit all week. I have always heard of salt and light as one of those biblical word combos- but Colossians 4:6 talks about grace and salt. “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Yesssss!!! It is one of those verses that has just jumped off the page at me, and become a part of my morning prayer requests. Grace - God’s love and power that we can’t earn but are given it freely. May we remember to show that same grace to people we encounter today. But May it be seasoned with salt. Salt - the truth found in the Word of God. May our conversations be seasoned with grace AND salt. Love and truth. Power and truth. GRACE AND TRUTH. May it guide all that we do and say so that we will know how to answer everyone. Amen and amen. God is so good, and His Word is so powerfully alive. I have found myself in so many conversations this week in which I simply didn’t know how to respond. People battling situations that are beyond my level of understanding - and while you want to help them any way you can - it is quite simply beyond you. I have drawn on this verse, with the help of the Holy Spirit, all week.
