Posting to reflect on how far we come and to remember to celebrate successes, big and small. When I was lucky enough to get Famous I had many people (many I didn't even know) make all kinds of negative comments about him. You won't get him in, he is too nervous to exercise, he isn't sound, he won't turn a first, he can't turn left. After two years of hard work, listening to my horse and focusing on health first- he is proving everyone wrong. I didn't feel the conditions were safe to make a rodeo run in Stettler so we took the pressure off and loped one through in the mudd. For a horse that walked in, put on a lining up clinic and did all I asked- I couldn't be more proud of him. He will lay one down now or simply just do what I ask. He is happy. He is 100% healthy and clean and he is my main squeeze. Thank you to the previous owners for trusting me with him and all those that had an opinion- well it is nice to show them how wrong they were about how much potential Famous has. Today the conditions are worse but we aim to make it easy again and maybe I'll ask and support a little sooner on that second barrel- ha. Oops. Learning. Seasoning. Succeeding. Define your own definition of success and don't listen to those that seem to have a definition for you. Loving this game and love my horse.
