Last night I taught a design workshop with @cb2 and @refinery29 at the brand new cb2 store in Scottsdale. It was SO fun meeting some of you locals, and dishing my best tips for layering pattern and color in a natural, livable way! The new fall collection is full of saturated color, beautiful textures and patterns and tons of mixed metals - all huge themes I noticed at market a few weeks ago. I wanted to take one of everything home with me! Thanks for having me @cb2! #studiocb2 #ad

I am in NYC working on a little girl’s bedroom for the @realsimple Idea House. It has been a whirlwind install (and there are a ton of stories in my highlight if you want to catch up!) Real Simple had a different designer take each room in a beautiful penthouse apartment in Brooklyn. The finished spaces will be shown in the October issue! Everything is turning out beautifully. And I am pretty happy with our space too (once we got the paint color right 😬). We hung this @jennysprintshop print COUNTING SHEEP by one of our artist collaborators @camitakesphotos above the bed and I’m obsessed. The soft color and textural elements have been such a hit with the other designers on site here too! I love how it looks great in a child’s bedroom and in a living room from this shoot we did this last month for the new @juniper_studio pillows. 😅 What a crazy summer, guys. Ready to go home, snuggle my babies, burn all the clothes I’ve traveled in and only use full size toiletries for the rest of forever. #liketkit @liketoknow.it http://liketk.it/2wQ8j (📸: @thisisnickaz )

Our porch plants got burned to a crisp while we were in Europe this month! 😳🔥🙀 (swipe left to see) It was time for a little update out here anyway. With the help of @rejuvenation we made some quick and simple updates that have made this outdoor space so pretty again! More in stories and on the blog today! PS you can get all the links to the products used here using the @liketoknow.it app! #myonepiece #rejuvenation #liketkit http://liketk.it/2wNd0 ❤️

Okay, Iceland, you win. ❤️🇮🇸💙 I’ll be back soon, and next time we’ll spend a whole week or two just here so we can explore the eastern part of the island too. There are no words for the beauty of this place. Heaven on earth.

Back at the stories tours today, finishing up sharing all we saw and loved in Stockholm before heading to Iceland. They say Stockholm is the Venice of Scandinavia because of its endless bridges and waterways, but it felt a little more like Rome or New York maybe? Huge buildings, a great subway system, and neighborhood after neighborhood in all directions. It could have been that we all were starting to lose a little steam after so many days on the road, but Stockholm felt slightly harder to get our arms around than Copenhagen did. The food, beautiful designs and gentle, generous people will bring me back though and I can’t wait to explore even more next time. Have you been to Stockholm? What was your favorite part? It wasn’t designy at all, but Vasa the sunken ship exhibit was stunning! 💛🇸🇪💙

I know families are forever. I have felt this truth over and over in my life. This trip to Sweden, especially the last few days spent at my Grandma Johnson’s home in Sparreholm, has sparked something in me. Feelings that I’m excited to explore, if only because it seems like Grandma had a hand in it all. (More in my stories ❤️)

Never in my life have I seen more cute bikes in one city. I’m trying to think of ways Copenhagen could be better, but I’m genuinely coming up short. I fell hard and fast for this place! 💓

We really packed it in with our first 24 hours in Copenhagen.🇩🇰 I can’t wait for day 2! Here’s what we’ve done so far (you can see a lot of these in my story highlight called SCANDINAVIA):
1) Tivoli - the amazing 100 yr old amusement park that inspired the design and feel of Disneyland. It’s insanely charming. We were there for four hours last night and the lines were short, the food was great and the rides were fun!
2) Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek - the most beautiful museum I’ve been to. It honestly rivals the Lourve for me. It was peaceful and manageable with kids. So many beautiful French paintings, the largest collection of Rodin sculpture outside of France and interiors that made me gasp around every corner (this is their gift shop here 😍).
3) The Round Tunnel - almost as pretty on the way up as the view from the top!
4) Thorvaldsen’s Christus statue - we missed the church service this morning, but still loved seeing the original of this beautiful sculpture in person.
5) Rosenberg Castle - the castle and the Crown Jewels were very cool, but there were some groundskeeper’s houses on the property that really had my head turning!
6) Design Museum - the chair exhibit was amazing! So well done. The museum building was another stunner. We entered the property from the back gate accidentally and got to walk through an alleyway where all their admin offices were. They had converted old carriage stalls into offices! It was SO cool and so perfect for a design museum.
7) Fredericks Church - aka the Marble Church. Breathtaking!
8) Nyhavn - yummy food and great photo opps of colorful houses and charming sailboats.

Also wanted to mention—
8) Copenhagen Card - a must if you’re a tourist here and hoping to knock out a bunch of museums and Tivoli! It gets you in free everywhere and free public transportation too!
9) Food - we have loved all our meals so far! Sankt Peder’s for pastry and cinnamon rolls for breakfast, street food by Nyhavn for dinner (including Vaffelbageren for ice cream and waffles!). The Elderflower juice we had with lunch was out of this world. Made me forget about how much I’ve been missing my Diet Cokes (CocaLight is not my fave 😑). 🇩🇰❤️

Copenhagen is unreal. We spent the morning at the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek Museum and I can’t remember the last time I was that completely inspired by a space. We just sat down to lunch, my phone is charging and I’m getting ready to upload approx seven million stories. So buckle up! 💛

My experience with Keto, my nightly face wash routine, the cropped wide leg pant that every woman needs in her closet. Talking about all these things (and SO much more) in today’s Summer Style blog post! 🧡🧡🧡

We leave for our big summer trip to Scandinavia a week from today! 🇳🇴🇸🇪🇮🇸We changed up the itinerary a bit to make it a little more kid friendly.
