This week the @ado_fitness trainers will be addressing some of the most common things we get asked about. Coach Jennifer0815, talks about healthy weight gain with pregnancy.
Pregnancy and weight gain go hand and hand, but are you really eating for two? You do need extra calories but you're not necessary eating "for two". According to evidence based research, from the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement: " Routine Prenatal Care, only 300 extra calories are needed for a healthy weight gain during pregnancy." It's important to gain a healthy weight during pregnancy for the mother and baby. There's common risks to the mother when you gain to much weight, according to the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement. "1. Increased risk for gestational diabetes
2. Increased risk for hypertension
3. Greater likely hood of cesaren birth
4. Increased rate of postpartum complications
5. Anesthesia related problems
6. Increased length of hospital stay post birth
Some common risks for the fetus include:
1. Increased risk for congenital anomalies
2. Lower success rate for breastfeeding
3. Predisposition to insulin resistance and more. "
It can also be dangerous to not gain enough weight during ones pregnancy. It can lead to complications and even an pre term delivery. Slow and steady wins the race!! Eating whole foods is a great way to gain a healthy amount of weight. It also helps you feel full because they are nutrient dense foods. Another great way to feel full throughout the day is to consume 5-6 meals and having snacks on hand helps too! Avoid sugary drinks and high calorie snacks. Swamp them out for water, sparkling water, pretzels, fruit, yogurt and lower calorie snacks. Try baking instead of frying food and try to use fat in moderation. if you eat fast food, try and pick the best options you can. There always better choices out there.
Another very important thing during pregnancy is how much fiber you consume. Fiber consumption can help with constipation, prevent weight gain , and help you lower your blood pressure. Which can help you avoid preeclampsia. Heres a list of of the best foods to eat while pregnant and many include that ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

A little late but here's my 36 week update! Getting so close it's crazy to think in less than a month I'll have a baby girl in my arms! This last two weeks has been insanely busy! Between unpacking/moving, friends visiting, baby showers and full time work to say I've been busy is a understatement. Thanks again to @mishkadawn and @sarahrae_fit for putting together my baby shower this last weekend and my mom for putting one together the weekend before!! Im truly blessed and my heart is SO FULL ❤️ thanks again to @joey_g911 @lexicon24 @taracarlton_fit @tristalillian @suzq_fit @amandasentermua for flying here for Coras welcome party and hanging with us! It was so nice to see my faves ❤️❤️ BIG Thanks to @_jordan_wheeler_ he's stayed up late putting together the nursery furniture so it would be done👌🏼 such a good dad already 😚 ... other than all that I'm feeling as big as a house 😂💪🏻 and only make it to the gym about two days a week BUT now that we're prettty much unpacked I'll be getting there at least 4-5 🤗 I'm pretty pumped about that!! I went off my macros the last two to three weeks and getting back at it. I'm pretty good at eating balanced meals even when I don't track. Still killing my water though! I drink sooooo much daily, I just don't feel weep if I don't! I forgot yesterday was Wed so this is a day late 😂 #workoutwednesday with a tri set I love because it really burns 🔥🔥 and kicks my ass. #transformationtuesday goes out to @laflorsagrada 😍🤤💪🏻 Ixiim came to @ado_fitness for nutritional guidance and to challenge her physique 🙌 I'm pretty sure she's done just that! We're been reverse dieting for a really long time (almost a year) and drum roll please 🥁🥁🥁her macros are 515 grams carbs a day and 110 fats 🤓😳 this girls metabolism is on FIRE 🔥🔥🔥 Everyone wants to build muscle and everyone was results yesterday but to build muscle you need to eat and put in work and Ixiim is very diligent to her Plan and extremely patient ....👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 and you can't deny those results! #mondaymotivation 💪🏻💪🏻 First workout in about a week and a half! Been unpacking and to be honest that's a lot for me right now at 35 weeks 😂 so I took a break from the gym so I could just get our new house ready! My workouts are about 2 tri sets 4-5 rounds each and 20 min walking... not to hardcore but I need 45 to 1 hour max in the gym right now because I get pretty wore out. I'm ok with quick workouts I'm just happy that I'm able to get some in! Feeling big as a house but still motivated to better myself 😅💪🏻 was loosely tracking while we moved but back at it today and chugging that water! Im ALWAYS about my water goals... water is life 😁🤰🏼 I can never understand when people tell me they don't drink much water because if I drink less than 140 oz daily I feel like shit 💩💩 Hope everyone had a productive day and KILL this week!
