It has been a looooonnnnng little weekend my house this go around. Between family, friends, and the Memorial Day weekend, I am just getting back on track. This morning, I woke up, stretched, cleaned off my desk space, sprinkled some essential oils, made my to do list, spread out my calendar, and here I am: inspired, motivated, refreshed and ready to take on new ideas to keep my sparks going. Working from home usually means a day full of distractions and often with odd hours to ensure tasks are completed. It’s easy to step away from my computer and lose focus. It’s even easier to work until midnight or later to try and catch up causing my next morning to be lazy to rise. It’s easy to go down that rabbit role and get stuck trying to get out. I have to remind myself to take a step back and start over- clean off my desk, reorganize, prioritize, find focus. Every single day. I play the role of boss, manager, micro-manager, creative employee, marketer, and assistant all in one. I know it’s sounds crazy, but I have to remind myself which role I need to play at which time to ensure I keep myself in check. But my favorite part about losing track after long weekends like this is the fresh start all over again. It’s my fav. So here’s to my Monday, er, I mean Wednesday, and kicking butt, er, I mean adulting.
