Catching up on missed #marchmeetthemaker posts... I won't lie; this one made me panic a bit as life got majorly in the way last week and this week. #routine is super important to me, both as a self-employed artist and as a parent to a busy teenager & a special-needs kid. It's extra hard around spring break and summer for me to maintain homeostasis, but I'm trying to get hyper-organized to maximize the time during which I have control so that things like car trouble, bad weather, and school holidays don't hit me quite so hard.
Anyway, every day I exercise. Every day I track my sales/appt income. Every day I try to either create or plan. I try to book most of my makeup and painting gigs during school hours, or enough in advance that if it's a weekend I can plan the logistics with as little strain on my family as possible. And every day I spend at least 30 minutes on clearing, self-improvement, and work-related training/development.
The goal is to be able to flow productively and harmoniously between creative jobs, and to get my cash flow to a more stable and secure place in the process. Getting there, slowly but surely. #meetthemaker #planner #getshitdone
