How can I even begin to explain how grateful I am to be loved and supported so well by so many other women? From my grandmother to my mom to my best friends to former co-workers to fellow moms, I am incredibly blessed to be held up by them as I have journeyed into motherhood. Never in my life have I ever felt SO connected to feminine energy.

Many of my days have included walks, lunches, dinners, play dates, coffee dates, phone dates and just sitting and talking. It has brought so much comfort and joy in a very transitional season of life.

One of my go-to breakfast choices is yogurt with fruit, granola and nut butter. I recently tried @lovemysilk’s new almond dairy-free yogurt alternative and really liked it!

AD Morning smiles and stretches are the best! Finn gets really squirmy when he’s trying to wake up but also refuses to open his eyes. I start saying good morning to him over and over and he smiles, stretches and then finally cracks his sweet eyes open and gives me the biggest grin. 😊

Lately, Finn has been sleeping in this Classic Sleeping Bag from @ergobaby. I love that it’s
essentially a wearable blanket that helps keep him safe and cozy but not too hot. It’s made from 100% breathable premium cotton so he doesn’t overheat (he is such a little furnace!). It also gives him plenty of space to do his kicks, which might be Finn’s favorite activity ever! 😄

1️⃣ single arm dumbbell press and then single arm dumbbell swing, right arm (45 seconds of each exercise)
2️⃣ same thing on the left side
3️⃣ broad jumps with a 180 turn
3️⃣ knees to chest crunch
4️⃣ forearm plank
5️⃣ alternating curtsy lunge
6️⃣ speed skaters

Happy Friday! @emilybreeze and I launched Zero2Run on Monday! 👏 It’s our new 5K and 10K running programs that include running AND strength training workouts! 💪

Here are some FAQs on the plan and the strength workouts:
1️⃣ Are the plans beginner friendly? YES! That’s why the program is called Zero2Run. The first week of training for the 5K starts with just a 1.25 mile run/jog/walk and progresses to 3 over the course of 8 weeks. All of the running in the plan can include walking breaks/intervals anytime you want them! The 10K plan builds from the 5K and starts at 3 miles.
2️⃣ What equipment is needed for the strength workouts? Do you need a gym? You definitely need dumbbells and it would be nice to have access to a gym but the workouts can TOTALLY be modified to do at home. Most call for dumbbells, kettlebells and very occasionally barbells in the 10K plan. Just like the running plans, the 10K strength plan builds off the 5K plan and had more challenging workouts. Our plans grow with your strength!
3️⃣ How long do the strength workouts take? Most will take 20-30 minutes.
4️⃣ Can the plans be adapted for half marathon training? You could follow our general format and strength workouts and increase the run distances but if a half plan is something you guys are interested in, we can make that happen too! 😃

Becoming a mom has changed my life in countless amazing ways. One that I appreciate so much is how much it encourages me to be totally present in the moment. I absolutely love seeing Finn interact with the world in new ways and I don’t want to miss a second of it.

Over the weekend we were so fortunate to spend a few days in Florida with my family. We spent time outside every day soaking up the sun at the pool or on the beach. Finn enjoyed his first float in the pool and laughed for the first time at the beach. It was truly all I needed to feel completely whole in the moment. He is an incredible gift.

I am teaming up with @emilybreeze to bring you guys 5K and 10K training plans that will take you from zero to the finish line!

Meet #zero2run! Our new training program combines just three days of running each week with two strength training workouts written by me and Breeze.
_
Most plans lack the strength training element or don’t provide a lot of direction. We give you specific workouts to do on strength days. You get 30 strength workouts total between the two plans!
_
The 5K training plan starts with just 1.25 miles of running and builds to 3. You totally have the option to add in walking intervals any time you need. The 5K strength workouts are doable at home as long as you have a set of dumbbells.
_
The 10K program is a little tougher and will ask that you start with 3 mile runs. You’ll build up to 60-minute long runs. The strength workouts in this plan are more challenging and have more equipment needs but still doable and modifiable for home workouts with dumbbells.
_
We are training for the @charlottemarathon relay where we will be pushing our babes in strollers. We hope you’ll join us and train for a fall race!
