As many of you have seen on my social, #MotherEarth lost a best friend this past week, #RobStewart. This is a DEVASTATING loss for friends, family & our planet. Rob was a prophet. A messenger with unmatched ability to share kinetic passion for wildlife preservation through emotional storytelling & stunning #cinematography. A #marinebiologist, #wildlife #photographer, #documentarian, #activist, #explorer & one of the kindest, most generous, in-sync and elevated people Ive ever known, a spiritual leader. Humankind has lost one of our most important orators who fearlessly stood up for what’s right. N I am incredibly proud to have played a part in amplifying Rob’s positively infectious efforts around his film #Sharkwater. And I am blessed for Rob including me in his amazing circle of friends and advisors.
I am sending so much love to Rob’s closest friends and family – especially @tylermacleod1, who has proven time and again that he too is a crucial General in the fight to #SaveTheHumans, especially exemplified by last week’s herculean efforts which will go down in history as what it truly means to be a best friend. Yet we all knew that saving Rob was much bigger than saving one soul, it was about saving ourselves. And while I'm devastated that Rob will no longer be boots on the ground in his mission, he will continue to be the guiding force behind the unbelievable community of conservationists, explorers and creators that has emerged in his wake, who no doubt are extremely restless right now to carry the movement forward.
