Jeff Holt  Photographer // Currently traveling the United States on a motorcycle looking for all the good stuff.

8K Miles, 21 States and 57 days later I have come full circle with one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I’m back home and head first into “real life” today. It’s surreal and bittersweet but I’m excited to be back. I feel recharged and inspired but I already miss the daily routine, simplicity, uncertainty and new adventures that would unfold with every mile of open road.

Throughout the trip, I found myself desperately trying to hold onto everything that was happening around me. The sights, sounds, people; you name it. Unfortunately that’s not realistic; everything is fleeting. I did my best to live in the moment as much as possible and take as many pictures as I could in hopes that one day they would help spark the most vivid of memories.  So here’s to looking forward….#roadtrip #travel #adventure #chopper #evochopper #harleydavidson

The best kind of road patina. This morning I'll cross the Tennessee line putting me a day from being home. Bittersweet thoughts this morning. #roadtrip #travel #adventure

Great Falls, Montana

Since @followfowler went back it's just Doris (the bike) and I. Occasionally she gets her own portrait cause she's earned it. 4500+ miles (with many more to go), 120 degree stretches of scorching desert, steap mountain ranges and she keeps motoring on. I named her Doris after my grandma who never really traveled beyond her small town. Seemed fitting.. #roadtrip #travel #adventure #evochopper #chopper #harleydavidson

Something about the wheat fields and open ranges of Montana. #roadtrip #travel #adventure #montana

Too many pics of Glacier to share here but I'll wrap it up. Turns out it didn't get dark till nearly 10:30 that night. Those 50 miles will be treasured memories for a lifetime. Leaving the park was almost spiritual as the sun dropped and I headed through a monochromatic landscape scarred by a massive forest fire several years ago. Skeletons of scorched trees and charred rocks blended into the last light of the day. Do yourself a favor add this to your bucket list. Trust me :-) #roadtrip #adventure #travel #glaciernationalpark

Moments after entering West Glacier I see this beautiful lake and massive mountain range that was breathtaking. Honestly the pictures don't really do it justice. #adventure #roadtrip #travel #glaciernationalpark #landscape

I got to West Glacier around 8pm and had planned to ride the Going-to-the-Sun road which is 50 miles and takes "nearly two hours" according to the National Park Service. All the camp sites were full in the park, meaning I would be in the dark at some point and forced to find a place to sleep on the other side. I have a personal rule to avoid riding at night due to a number of factors but the photographer in me couldn't resist the chance to see the sun setting in the park so I made an exception in the spirit of adventure. I had been told the park can be buried in traffic but it felt abandoned at the main gate including the empty check in station.#roadtrip #adventure #travel #glaciernationalpark
