Thank you Hamburg for always treating me so well. This weekend inside you was FA-BU-LOUS! European premiere of Omphalos was beyond expectations.

Now Flying to Brussels for not even 24H because tomorrow I am going to MUMBAI 😍😍😍😍😍😍 I just can’t wait to be there and spend time with the craft people. Making cushions sitting on the floor while eating super yummy fried onion rings and drink chai. OMG I am mouth watering just thinking about it!
I will travel to Dheli, Jaipur, Udaipur to work with brass workshops. Then back to Mumbai to celebrate my birthday on April 5th with my friends. THEN goa to finally see my friends shop @theflamestore and enjoy the first two days of my 40 years then Mysore for some marquetry work. As we say in french « tout un programme » 😂
All this to tell you that my @extra__ordinaire project is growing and arriving soon. I am really enthusiastic to share this with you.

I know carnival was a week ago. But hey, isn’t carnival a state of mind at the end? Here is some designs influenced by our traditional Gille de Binche. Glasses are inspired by these famous masks that they all wear at the end of the morning. There is thousands and thousands of Gille dancing in rythm on the grand place wearing the same mask which is kind of cool and freaky at the same time.

Soleils by Pierre Droulers
Outfits by me

One of the most important dance figures in Belgium, Pierre Droulers is a choreographer who composes his pieces by following a primarily sensorial logic. Treating bodies and movement as well as objects, sounds, light and space as plastic material, he sculpts remarkable stage objects in which emptiness is confronted with fullness, presence with absence, life with death and exhilaration with melancholy. For his new work, it is light – philosophically and physically – that he invites on stage: light all the way to the incandescent ecstasy of the sun, but also light waiting in darkness; light diffracted in matter, but also the kind that irradiates bodies. He revisits the burning energy of carnivalesque rituals and processions. Set in a captivatingly beautiful stage space, Soleils reaffirms the fire of life in the face of the grimace of history.

Meg Stuart Inflamavel.
Outfits by me.
In Inflamável, Meg Stuart collaborates with designer Jean-Paul Lespagnard and performers Vânia Rovisco and Márcio Kerber Canabarro, to create a performance that plays with images of fame, risk and vulnerability. Two bodies writhing through a desolate landscape; a duet on the border of pride and loss, success and decline, disillusionment and the lure of the unattainable.
i was inspired by these 80’s Rita Mitsouko video clip like “Andy” and “Marcia Baila”, stuntman and circus. I was also interested to show the fabulous in the derisory.
