So, avid reader that I am, those who follow #jdilgerreads will notice that I generally gravitate to contemporary fiction, historical/biographical fiction and memoir, with a side of self-help, often spiritual in nature.
For reasons I won’t get into here, I usually run the other direction from Romance and almost always avoid Christian lit—It hasn’t always been this way, I cut my “avid reader teeth” on Danielle Steele in the 80s and read my fair share of Janette Oakes as a young girl.
So, when @lauracthomas announced she’d written a *Christian Romance* I confess I hesitated for a few days before asking to join her launch team.
People, I’m hooked! This mystery/suspense has wrapped its delicate little fingers around me and I can’t put it down. Yes, it’s a Romance. Yes, it’s Christian lit. But it seems to be just the thing for me right now.
If you need a great beach read for Spring Break, this is it! Building tension—both in the budding relationship between Madison and Luke, and in the plot—no spoilers—Laura hits a lot of great notes.
