For those who use the term “tone” sorry to show you truth. For those who “don’t want to get too bulky” too, unless you train 2times a day 5 times a week, it’s unlikely to happen, if you’re training 3 times a week like an average joe then training weights along with cardio as a complimenting workout can be a way forward for you. Cardio can come in many forms through playing sport or some functional conditioning, doesn’t have to be just one machine. Make it enjoyable for yourself. #training #fitness #gym #pt #jctrainingperformance

If you’re rubbish at pull-ups like me, use the cable single arm lat pulldown to work on stability through the core whilst pulling. Admittedly I could have paused better on contraction. Doing these straight after deadlifts were not cool. Glutes and hamstrings were on fire. As you notice I get a full twist in the torso to try and include sling action. Something I’m experimenting with, from the likes of @functionalpatterns. Strength Deadlifts and then Banded Row with External Rotation for shoulder health, and then the rest of today was made up of movement, stabilisation and prehab based training. Always include lower intense prehab type exercises in your training.
