Picture from this morning.. after posting all these beautiful "holiday" photo's, I felt the need to repost my post from 3 September 2015; "Today with social media we open up a part of our private life to the world and it's hard not to compare ourselves with others. Like myself I like to share a little piece of my life with Tony, I share what's on my mind, I like to post about the places I've been visiting, stuff that's happening at the races and experiences I've had. ..But please don't forget that reality is what is lost on social media. We choose to post the best parts, the edited version of reality. I'm guilty of it aswell; Instead of posting about me feeling lonely, cause I choosed to live in Italy, away from my friends & family, you see posts of the beautiful country I'm living now, ore new friends I made here.
Don't let posts on social media trick you into thinking your life isn't as fun, beautiful ore exciting as that from someone els! Life can be hard, ugly, and downright depressing at times. However, don't fail to step back and recognize how unfair and unrealistic these comparisons actually are.
And I hope instead of wishing you where having the same kind of life as the person you look up to, think twice.. And remember that what you see is just highlights of what's reality and hopefully you realize that everything you ever wanted you already have!! Cause your life is real, not what you see online. :) 💛✨"
