Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival 2017 is over! Started out with downpours and incredible MUD. Ended in sunshine.

We saw 21 dynamite bands. Here are photos of ten of them, in order: Sarah Jaroz, Bryan Sutton Band, Travelin' McCoureys, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Billy Strings, Steep Canyon Rangers, Frank Solivan and Dirty Laundry, Jerry Douglas Band, Dry Branch Fire Squad, Lonely Heartstrings Band.

Today was the "Peace Starts With Me" Rally at Madison Square Garden. The 2,000 Voice Choir totally rocked the house to the point that the MC had a struggle ending the applause. WOW

Welcome to the Grey Skies...I mean Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival. Downpouring rain, almost raining too hard to hear the music 🤢. Luckily Kinu insisted on a hotel room instead of a ⛺.

Live in Somerville on Tuesday night, with the talented Sarah Eide. Lots of fun, not much money 🤣. Next stop...the fabled Cantab Lounge next Tuesday!

Are you kidding me...this is the renouned "Fast Metabolism Diet"?.....Ok, that's fine. I'll diet for the rest of my LIFE 😍
(Kinu and I are now starting week two of our four week diet 🤢)

Torrential rainfall (even tornados) last night bring impressive waterfalls on the Ellis River in Jackson NH today. The White Mountains in New Hampshire have a unique and endearing beauty.

Remarkable...but true. Kinuyo sank this FIFYT FIVE FOOT putt, for a burdie, right from where she is standing. There is only one plausible explanation: today is our 35th wedding anniversary 💞🎉

Neighbor Wayne Sparrow and I together for a beautiful evening at Fenway Park, Sox v Twins. Singing "Sweet Caroline" is a 8th inning tradition at Fenway.

The 24th edition of Camp Aurora was rockin in the Geneva Point barn last night. About a hundred kiddos. What a blast 😆

Today we start our four week adventure with the "fast metabolism diet." We got the inspiration from sister Gail who has had great results. Kinuyo will be supervising the program, in the position of Dietary Engineer.

Remarkable...but true. At the Jenny Brook Bluegrass Festival on Friday I paid $10 for two raffle tickets to win an $850 Eastman ACOM-1 guitar. I told the fellow in the raffle booth to remember my name because I was going to win the guitar. Kinu and I had to leave the festival early to go to a funeral. On Saturday evening I got a call from the festival organizer congratulating me for winning the guitar ! A friend, Mark Therieau brought it home from the festival for me. It's now right where it's supposed to be, in my guitar rack, right next to my Martin D-28.

Today we attended the Memorial Service for our neighbor, Hsiu-Ching Chang. Until she passed (age 64 from cancer) we did not appreciate that for 25 years we lived across the street from a very important scientist. Hsiu-Ching grew up in a small village in China, came to the US as a post-doc at Harvard, and ended up pioneering multiple fundamental breakthroughs in the field of immunology. 1st photo is her family. 2nd photo is her faculty colleague from Harvard with whom she published 37 scientific papers. AB Biosciences, the company she co-founded 7 years ago, is expected to have an IPO.
