Another day at the office really. After a great recovery from a total disc replacement the neuralgia in my left arm shoulder and 3 fingers never went away and progressively got worse. Its bloody painful, but like most who have acute pain ya just suffer. The pain meds they prescribe you do work (Lyrica/Gabbapentin and Opiates) but are bloody nasty, so pain it is.
Had the exact type of nerve pain after my first op but it went away and the fusion is rock solid. Its been over a year now of constant physio twice a week, but after talking to my Neuro, ordered new MRI and flex extension X-rays, Dr Tim Steel says its time for a nerve blocker at C6 under CT. Top pic is the marked site for needle insertion bottom pic is the needle in place. Went without a hitch, thank you to the great staff at John Flynn Private hospital. Angry nerve roots are brutal, but at least it can be fixed. #nervepain #injuriessuck #thankful #getitsorted
