Some #toweltuesday flexing from when I was in decent shape. Post op Check in with the surgeon Thursday this week praying he clears me to start training upper body again. Been a couple months off now and I’m ready to get back to business. I’ve got a lot of work to do if I want to be undeniable in 2019 regardless of what stage I step on or what division I compete in. I’m done tailoring the appearance of my physique to fit a certain division. I will build, sculpt and mold my physique into what I personally consider is the most aesthetic and well rounded look I can achieve. Im not chasing anything other than the peak potential of what I can achieve. That goes for you too, your goal should always be to 1 up your previous best and improve YOURSELF. It doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing, paying attention to them is taking from the energy you could be putting into you. Get your mind right. Bring your best. Took an IG/social/cell phone vacation, but now the kid is back. Booked Punta Cana for a week last minute and took off 🛫 Needed to get refreshed ! Last time I took a vacay way 2015. I realized with how much I work, with the different careers and responsibilities I have, I need a vacay more then once every 3 years or I’m going to get burnt out and my work will suffer. But now I’m back, I feel refreshed and re motivated, which is just what I needed. Offseaon VS pre contest. My last contest prep was the most efficient and effective to date. I was able to get in my best condition yet doing minimal daily cardio and consuming a good amount of food. Now that doesn’t mean I was feeling great or that it was a cake walk, i was still starving and exhausted. Anyone who’s competed more than once knows that no matter the amount of food you’re eating at the end of a prep you stiff feel like shit lol Now, what I contribute to my new found ability to get in shape whilst not doing an hour of cardio or eating zero carbs is the fact that during my offseaon, between 2016 and 2017, I started to learn how to ACTUALLY train hard. I learned that quality over quantity is always better. I learned how to get the most out of each rep and set. I learned how to push the intensity to a new level. I didn’t have to do 20 sets per workout anymore. I could make 10 sets feel like 30. When you improve quality of work over quantity you’ll always see Improvments hand over first. Why do 60 min of cardio when you can just apply yourself and burn the same amount of calories in 20 ? Why do 4 sets when all you need is 1 ? Moral of the story is to improve quality of work over quantity. This goes for anything in life, not just training and contest prep, it’s very transferable to many aspects of your life if you think about it 🤔 @beachlifter 📸

Smiles are free 🤗 So there’s no need to be cheap 😝 Although I know that still may be hard for some of you to grasp 😂 Having a positive mindset is a very easy and effective way to live a rich and fulfilling life. The way you think directly effects how you perceive life and if you think positive thoughts, positive things will start happening. If you surround yourself with positive people, positive things will happen. The same goes for negativity, when you think negative thoughts negative things start happening and you attract other negative people which only reinforces more negativity. Be careful who you surround yourself with, cut out the sad knts and find some sick knts to hang with.
