Thank you, @nicorosberg, for these years!
I've supported Nico since GP2 and after Singapore GP 2008 I saw a dream that Nico won the race and I met him there.
I was at my first F1 race at the age of 12 in Hungary in 2010 with my granddad and uncle. My granddad promised he would buy something for me, and I asked for a small scale Mercedes F1 car. First, the seller took a model of Michael Schumacher's, but no, I wanted Nico's car.
In 2015, I attended an F1 race again, this time in Britain. I was cheering for Nico in Finnish at the Club Corner because I did not want to make the crowd angry, as the local spectators were obviously everything but Nico's fans.
Early this year, I had a feeling that this would be Nico's year, and it finally turned out to be.
Five days after the championship was decided, I was scraping the ice off the windows of my car to get home from work, and I had a phone call with my grandmom. "Did you hear Nico's news?", she asked. For a moment I thought, that after winning the championship, Nico would have decided to start to represent Finland as he did in his karting days. This had been my secret dream since 2014. But no. "He's retiring", she said instead.
To pay a little tribute to Nico, I wrote "Danke N1CO" to the roof of my gingerbread house.
Congratulations to Nico for the championship, and all the best for the future with your family! #n1co #nicorosberg #f1 #thankyou #danken1co #yolo #yolosowriteanovelaboutyourfavouritedrivertoinstagram
