Jamgoapp asked me to tell their followers something about Myself! I'm Ross and I'm from Scotland. I think that most people will tell you musicians these days have it a lot harder than they did prior to the digital age, but I absolutely love where we're at right now with instagram, YouTube and all other social media platforms for musicians.
A couple of years ago I found myself on a recording session at the most legendary recording studio in the world, with one of the best producers in the world. This crazy, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity came to me all because I simply put a cover up on YouTube, which didn't get a lot of views but happened to get noticed and land me the best experience I've ever had as a musician.
The reason I chose to tell this particular story is because it helped me realise that almost anything is possible with the current state of social media, and I would encourage anyone who's on the fence about putting their playing up for the world to see to just go for it and do as much of it as possible!
