McGee Canyon has become my favorite place for Fall color. From US-395 you drive about two miles of paved and dirt/gravel roads to a parking lot. Along the way are views of Lake Crowley with the White Mountains in the distance. You also pass several stands of aspen trees, some with a mix of evergreens. On the trail the Red Mountains are always in front of you. From the parking lot there are trails for 11.5 miles round trip, that pass several small lakes. I only walked about 2 miles before turning around. That took about 1.5 hours, walking at a photographer pace! The trail has a constant elevation gain, 2,510 ft. in total, so keep that in mind. Also, you are starting the hike at about 8,000 ft.
