Back in high school when I was a buck 50 and all I wanted to do was build muscle I asked my mentor “what do I do to build muscle and get bigger?” He said “the foundation of a lean & powerful physique starts with squats.” Since then, I’ve incorporated squats in my routine some way or another for the last 10 years. Lately, I’ve seen a lot of confusion when it comes to lower body training. You can do all the fancy movements (like hip bridges using the damn hamstring curl😂😂) But at the end of the day, squats should be the cornerstone of your leg routine. There are so many different variations regardless of age and experience.
For example, I love doing safety bar squats. Puts less emphasis on my neck and more on my legs. Find what works for you, but stick to the basics! The tried and true exercises work best!
