#Its_A_WONDERFUL_Life (Day 264: 9/21/17): I have been encouraged to explain some of the reasons why being volunteer live-in caregivers/companions/ #security, and #volunteer live-in hospice providers generates significant stress, since the reason why I have been #modeling and started my #Instagram page is for "stress-relief." One of the reasons is the fact that we are #INDEPENDENT caregivers. We are not affiliated with an agency which would locate a new assignment when our current assignment ends. So, we have to quickly acquire temporary accomodations after each assignment, especially if family members of the person we were caring for are not #nice, and until we can secure a new assignment. The mere anticipation of, and the time between assignments is very stressful. The reason why we are NOT affiliated with an agency is because of agency restrictions regarding who we can or cannot assist, and what duties we can and cannot perform. For instance, an agency would not allow my husband to restart a #hot #water #heater if the #pilot #light went out. Being independent we can simply and promptly do whatever needs to be done without being required to call an agency supervisor to ask for authorization to do certain things. Further, we receive enormous gratification from having a significant beneficial #impact in the lives of others, especially those who lack a support system and do not receive assistance from anyone else. In fact, there have been at least three occasions in the last few years when the 94 year old #WW2 #veteran that we currently assist very likely would have passed away and not been found for days if we were not here with him when he became violently ill, or when he fell, etc. .
P.S.: I apologize for the cropping of this #video. Is was apparently unavoidable since I had to record it with one device and then transfer it to another device before I could post it with the second device, which would only post it like this.
