With days like today, I find myself feeling helpless and exhausted that such injustice has become the norm. Other times, my anger consumes me. I have to remind myself that I can use compassion to actually *do* something. *We* can do something, something beyond a deep social media post (guilty) and our thoughts and prayers (also guilty). While I can't do much to change what's happened in Las Vegas, what I can offer is my time, my resolve to do what's right and my ability to organize. The same goes for Puerto Rico, Mexico, Houston and Florida. It all boils down to this: our ability, our willingness to help those in need and to take steps to prevent such calamities.
