May 29, Memorial Day Paddle, 1 pm to 4 pm. The LIC Community Boathouse offers kayaking and canoeing (weather permitting). People of all ages are welcome to participate or volunteer. No prior boating experience is required, and well-behaved dogs are also welcome. Free. Departs from Socrates Sculpture Park Beach at Hallets Cove, LIC.
