Time will heal the sadness.
We lost my dad last Saturday evening, a day after I got back from visiting him overseas. He went quietly and without any pain, exactly what we were hoping for all along, but we were not prepared for his sudden passing.
I had the best time of my life with him during those 8 final days and will always have beautiful memories, like this lovely photo which was taken by him. He was a man of many talents, even playing photographer for a collaboration with @mvmtforher . I think he did a superb job of capturing the sunglasses and watch. I have lost my mojo to be on any social media and will farewell this playground of mine for now. I have been toying with this idea since late last year. So much has changed here on IG. More and more styleinfluencers are increasing their popularity by buying likes, followers and joining pods. It is such a shame, as advertisers rely on influencers to promote their brand or products to reach customers. I was raised by a man who taught me values and honesty is of utmost importance to me. We can only hope that IG will follow Twitter's example of removing fake accounts as it is not an accurate measure of someone's influence.
This community which was established over the past 4 years have been a huge support and I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for each like, comment, tag, shared posts and private messages. They all made me feel extra special and gave me the necessary encouragement to be active here for so long.
Treasure the time with all your loved ones, tell them that you love them and hug them often. Much love to you all❤.
In honour of my dad.
