@cynthiawelden and I were having fun dancing outside. Sometimes itโ€™s good to let go and be silly. We found this really cool lighting, so we decided to have fun and take some pics โ˜บ๏ธ. Itโ€™s moments like these that are the most memorable for me.๐Ÿ’™

The other day while I was walking to class I heard really loud music playing from one of the buildings. I took a look and realized it was a dance class! ๐Ÿ˜ I didn't even know they offered dance at my school lol. The instructor saw me creeping, and asked if I would like to sit in and watch? I was like can I !!? She was so nice ๐Ÿ˜ญ I think I will take it next semester just for fun! โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ƒ I've been teaching myself hip hop dancing from YouTube, but I'm excited to take a class to experience the atmosphere of learning and dancing with others.

I actually find pull ups super fun! I brought a band with me today, so that I could try to do them without the assisted weight pad (after a certain weight it just becomes awkward and not smooth). But the band was still too hard for me to do just a couple (first rep felt good though), so I'm bringing the bigger band next time ๐Ÿ˜‚. I want to continue doing these with a band until I can wing off of it and start doing them with my own body weight.

I still feel awkward talking in front of the the camera since it's just an object, and not a real person. I love human interaction, so it's hard for me to talk to a camera as if I were talking to a person. A lot of you have been so supportive and encouraging so I hope it will feel more natural the more I do it. I really do appreciate you guys sharing how much you relate with the things I talk about. We all go through different journeys in life, but face a lot of the same struggles. โค๏ธ

Haven't posted a #transformationtuesday picture in a while! Transforming your physique is seriously such a slow process and sometimes it can feel like you haven't made any progress, but that's why taking pictures is so important. Even when you don't like how you look in that moment they are great to look back on and see the progress that you made. I would regret not taking any pics since I would have nothing to refer back to. Documenting your progress is such an essential part of your training. It's not just an excuse to show off the ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜‚

My favorite lift for glutes are smith machine hip thrusts! When you do these make sure you feel it primarily in the glutes, and not so much in the hamstrings and quads. If you feel your hamstrings working too much, you may need to bring your feet closer to you. Add weight progressively over time, but never at the expense of losing good form and not feeling it in the glutes. ๐Ÿ‘

@cynthiawelden, @arnoldwelden and I were all matching today lol it seems to happen a lot without even trying. One thing I think is even funnier is that people always assume Arnold and I are "together" since we always train together. So they also probably think we are one of those couples that match on purpose. Please tell me that there are other people that match accidentally? Some people don't believe us when we say it was unplanned ๐Ÿ˜‚

It's been hot here for too long, but I've been enjoying wearing dresses before it gets too cold. I cannot wait to start wearing comfy sweaters, jackets and fluffy socks! โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽƒ I still will be drinking my coffee cold though, just love it better that way.

I know a lot of you that see my story are wondering why I always do the same lifts. Something I want to clarify about my training is that my main focus is adaptation, so this requires me to do the same lifts in order to get better at these specific lifts rather than doing a lot of exercises that I have no way of objectively seeing progression. Iโ€™d rather be a master of my craft, getting each lift down as technical and efficient as I can, as opposed to just being mediocre in a lot of lifts and changing things up before I get a chance to actually progress in them. There needs to be more emphasis on the quality of your lifts and not just the quantity.
