More than half of Isaac region ratepayers who live in their own home can expect a decrease in the cost of their rates under Council’s 2018-19 Budget.
This year’s Budget is about Building a Stronger Isaac and that starts with supporting our local communities, primary producers and businesses.

#TakeMeBackTuesday This galvanised four frame honey extractor circa 1920s bears the mark ‘H.L.Jones Goodna Q’LD’. Henry Lewis Jones was considered Queensland’s Bee King who manufactured his own beekeeping equipment and materials from his factory in Goodna between 1866 and 1939. To extract honey using this model, honey frames would be placed inside the wire frame inserts and the crank handle rotated continuously creating enough centrifugal force until honey started to flow from the outlet at the base.

Meet Carol Booth, a Face of Isaac.

Carol has organised a Santa Run in Carmila for the past two decades. Each year she prints and delivers a newsletter to local residents who are going to be home on Christmas Day.
A lady with contacts in jolly places, Carol uses her own house as a drop of point for gifts for Santa’s delivery. This had become a much loved local tradition and all the look of surprise and joy on the children in Carmila is priceless.
