Strong is far from a personal best or the peak of a week...out of 52.

That inner voice and self talk is the real you...the one you can't BS or hide from.

It's the laughs when you look back amidst despair; that moment when weak becomes the layer of strength that really defines who you are in the years to come.

Simple words that evoke a meaning of real power.

Your body right now is a result of what you did weeks and months ago....
It doesn't respond with huge changes after a few days or weeks, it's not lift, pump, squeeze and a f'ing bicep comes out of nowhere.

You don't carb backload for a week and expect to see fat sliding down the plughole as you shower, or think that a few tabata rows and all that sweat is actually fat crying... Stop being such a spoilt kid and expecting to stamp your feet to fat loss, strength or sheer mass.

When you look at people and admire whatever attribute or physical quality they have...trust one thing-
Choice... You will have the same choice at similar points throughout your life.
It can be done....when you decide, commit and start being accountable to your own standard.

I am a fan of 10 minute 'no excuse' blocks of time to groove the move.

Back when I got in peak condition for a photo shoot......

Nah, I prefer staying in shape that is pretty much 'what you see is what you get'.
-
Don't get me wrong- some fitness models achieve insane levels of conditioning when it comes to reducing body fat.
-
The issue for me is this mindset of trying to get back to that point of 'ripped', when the reality is, like any other sport, you have to 'peak' your programming and ultimately your life to achieve such a 'day'.
-
Stay with me on this for a moment....
-
It's fucking hard. It takes longer than you are told and sold, or what your own mind has conjured up.
-
The process soon replaces the goal and the way of life you adopted as the vehicle becomes 'you'.
-
Pretty soon you make choices you never thought you would or could.
-
If you start, then be at the start....not wondering why you haven't changed or gained.
-
Everything is earned- earned....like you wouldn't believe. -
I urge you to start, commit and become the process beyond the goal....it's temporary anyway.
-
If you want to pose on stage, then do so....making sure the mind that walks off is healthy and ready for life beyond it all.
-
Get to the point where it's sustainable and with you for the remainder of your days.
-
Move and live with a purpose to improve.
