Great ending to an even better weekend. Was lucky to be able to watch Teen, Collegiate, Masters BB show down in Pittsburgh. Amazing show with even better athletes. Bodybuilding is so much more than just great physiques. Every great body has a story behind it. Everyone of them put in so much work to be on that stage. Congrats to all the competitors who won their Pro cards and shout out to those who didn't. Success is never a straight line. The key is to never give up and keep on grinding. In the end things always workout one way or the other!!!

Today marks DAY 5 of my vegan/ plant based diet try out. So far- I love it. I have decided that I will allow myself a good piece of steak on a rare "go out" occasion but on the day to day basis I will stick to plant based. In the end of the day I am following iifym and the only thing I changed is the source. By no means I will ever tell anyone they should eat one way over the other one, but what I would say is find what works for u. In the end of the day, u have to be able to sustain it and be consistent to see results. I never thought I would be able to sustain plant based. But the switch just went off and I knew that this is what I want to do. Overall I feel good. I have no meat craving or any cravings for that matter. I am able to follow my macros 100% which I struggled with before. I have no problem with protein anymore. Took me couple of days to balance my macros out but it's all perfect now. I did notice that I am much tighter in just 4 days. Therefore I'm gonna keep on going. I am cutting right now and curious to see what I can look like in 8 weeks while eating this way.

Well, thought I'd share my experience. It's been a whole day of not eating meat🙌😂. So far, I can't say I noticed any difference what so ever. I don't crave it ( video memories are still in my head🤢) LOL. I don't feel any energy changes. I am tired as I have been before when I was eating meat. The biggest issues that I came across as a bodybuilder is not necessarily getting that protein in. It's definitely possible. But staying within my macros while trying to get it in. (I am at 125p/180c/40f) Seems like all foods that do contain protein have also carbs so I'm way below on my protein and right where I wanna be with other macros. I do miss eggwhites for that purpose. I feel like it's an amazing "filler" that saves ur ass when all u have left to eat is protein. I am surprised that mentally this switch doesn't seem that difficult as I thought it would be. But I will also probably never be 100% Vegan. At least right now. Like I am not gonna buy vegan bcaa, they are god damn amino acids!!! Lol. One of my biggest goals will be to eat almost completely plant based. I found myself buying meet substitutes which to me is the same as substituting one crap for another. Lol. But those seem to be high in protein so I am keeping them for now. I am definitely not comfortable with this "diet" yet. I am not familiar with grain macros therefore it will take me some time to adjust. My main goal is my health. I want to detox my body from crap and I want to feel the difference. I am excited to start this journey to better health. I am excited to become a bodybuilder who is mostly plant based and prove it to myself that it is possible!!

Vegan🌱? I know. Once again I learned to never say never and decided to try to be vegan and see how it goes. Now, everyone who knows me, know that I love to eat, I love food, all food. Period. My very best friend became vegan about 3 years ago and I was the first one who judged her, yes, judged her because I didn't understand how one day I can go to Tony Robinson seminar and flip on ur bestie just like that!😂lol. So here I am, decided to watch What the Health documentary thinking oh I've already seen them all. Bluh bluh. I am naturally not very affectionate person as in things that I see don't really affect me. So here I am thinking that it's another movie about those poor sad animals being killed, mistreated and how it's bad to eat them. But I was wrong. The first thing I said: I am throwing away that fucking cheese😝 I didn't not think that documentary would affect me that much but it did. I guess people decide to be vegan for different reasons and I never thought I would EVER have the reason to. But now I know, I am aware that if I won't be able to become vegan, what eating of meat, fish, dairy can possible do to me. By no means I am an advocate to go vegan now. I am just going to give it a try! It will definitely be a learning experience but I am excited to learn more about it and especially learn how to be a bodybuilder on a vegan diet. I have also been experiencing hormonal issues, so I am curious to see how my body responds to having no meat. The good thing is I have been doing my macros so don't need to change my meal plan but still will have trouble figuring foods and macros out. So here is to day 1. Will update tomorrow to see if im still vegan😝

GYM ETIQUETTE. Seriously, gyms need to have a class and a waiver to sign saying they understand and know what gym etiquette is💯!!!! Let's just take today, in the am I was doing a total body circuit. Went to a secluded area, pulled out a box to jump on. So this guy, starts warming up not just right next to me but stretching his legs right on my box😤. Mind u there was another box that no one was using. But, of course, mine was better looking or something. WTF is wrong with u????? There is plenty, and I mean PLENTY of room in the gym at 5:00 am. Why? Why? Why?
a. Always ask people that are around if they are using the equipment.
Don't ever assume!!!!
b. Try and not get into their personal space!!!! Me, at 5 am probably not the nicest thing in the world😂
I'm not mean, it's just common sense which apparently most of those people at this particular gym are lacking. There are many other examples that I can provide, but that's not the point!!! The point is BE CAUTIOUS and COURTEOUS when there are people around u!!!! I am oblivious to people around me but never to those who are directly next to me!!!! On that note, have a good rest of the week!!!!

#tbt to my last cut and here is to starting another 10 weeks cut. This will be my very first cut while doing macros. Coach @lauren_fit reversed me all the way up to 125p/200c/45f with 3 20 hiit a week. Can't wait to see where I am going to be in 10 weeks.... will try and share the process as much as I can

Everything you do day in and day out is moving u either closer to ur goal or further away from it. Yes, we do have some routing gym, school, work. I always try and set up goals for myself so that I know, for myself, what I am working towards to, making sacrifices for. Never go blind, know what u want and work towards it👌💯

Here is a little #flashback and #flex Friday. About a year, maybe closer to a year and a half difference between the 2 pics. Bottom one I am probably about 5 pounds heavier. None of the pics are at lean stage whatsoever it that's not the point. Point is always strive for progress, growth and improvement. Goes not only about ur fitness goals but personal as well.
