I’ve decided to minimize them through this pregnancy, as I also did with Jasper, because they greatly increase the chance of diastasis recti. (I realize that some people go balls to the wall with backbends all the way through and have no problem with DR, but, personally, I’d rather not take even the chance of my abs splitting. No asana is worth potentially hurting myself.) So... I really thought I was doing a miniature stag here. And then the truth of the camera 🤦🏻♀️ It’s one of the things I really appreciate about posting pictures tho — the chance to see what you’re actually doing. I learned a lot from this today, so while this isn’t what I intended to practice and post, I’m glad for the lesson. This hypermobile mama seriously has to be vigilant!
