I saw the @instagram weekend project was #WHPyoungatheart so, here is Mr. Webb, at home on his 104th birthday. I was very pleased to take Mr. Webb's portrait as part of my ongoing project to meet 100 year olds. Mr. Webb got up early and made us all sandwiches that day. Mr. Webb can tell stories until the cows come home and is the absolute definition of Young at Heart. "I don't feel any different to when I was 20-something. I feel the same. I am the same." "I opened my papers. I didn't even know I'd be in the forces. I said "what& #39;s this?" to my dad and he said it's the RAMC - the Royal Army Medical Corps. I said I can't do that. I don't even know what a tin of Vaseline is. He said you'll go where they send you. I got posted out with some of the very first air ambulance and luckily because I was small, I was always the one on the stretcher in drills." "These are my army words. In Arduis Fidelis. Steadfast in adversity. Whatever happens in your life you stand up and face it." #WHPyoungatheart (sharing here with permission)
"And every day the world will drag you by the hand yelling "This is important! And this is important! And this is important! You need to worry about this! And this! And this! And each day, it's up to you to yank your hand back, put it on your heart and say "No . This is what's important!" - Iain Thomas
How I feel about life quite often. Also, a favourite photo of mine, if you're allowed to say things like that. Symbolic. SFO.
Sometimes he wears things I've knitted. For fun you can scroll left on this photo for the colour version.
Using the new scroll feature for the first time ✨ I couldn't get my head round sharing photos of kids that aren't mine amongst the other random stuff I do so I set up a new account for my family photography business: @auguststorycompany
Working on my website and my booking process/diary management to make it ten times easier for everyone involved. By the end of this year, I'd like there to be considerably more family homes with my photos on the wall. "Ooh , who took those photos?" "Anna did. She's a bit nuts but she takes good photos of kids. Here's her website." #okthanksbye #portraitcollective
"What you doin' butterfly? This is my bed at grandmas house. Not yours. Imma set you free."
