I started reading Gabby Bernstein's "Judgement Detox" last week. One of the most profound messages was that until we accept where we are, we can't get where we're going.
This is a concept taught by Byron Katie as well with her four questions. She always says "How do I know I don't need what I want? I don't have it." #
Basically, accept what is as it is now, because if it's already happening now there's nothing you can do to change it. And constantly fighting against what IS and focusing on it in a negative way only creates more of it! It's using the past to create your future thereby repeating the same experiences over and over again.
✨ Until we LET GO of our imagined stories, we cannot create a new and better story and life in tandem with the Universe. ✨
In Judgement Detox, Gabby shares the prayer of acceptance from the Alcoholics Anonymous workbook and it is so powerful! 🙏 Use this prayer/affirmation whenever you notice yourself fighting against what is and trying to control things you can't change. Use this prayer to remind yourself to let go of the story of your ego so you can allow your real and true self to be expressed.
A Prayer For Acceptance:

When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation - some fact of my life - unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be in this moment." #
