In light of the news that CEO Travis Kalanick has pulled out of Trumps business advisory group, I will be reinstalling Uber. People have called me "silly" or "hypocritical" for deleting this app, but not boycotting other companies involved in the advisory, to which I say this; Uber is an app. A free app. An app I have no obligation or responsibility to keep. I'm not going to close my bank account and move to a different bank because that's lengthy and irresponsible, and using my MacBook or iPhone that I have already owned for a while isn't actively giving Apple money, and these things are necessary for my life and my work. With Uber, cutting them out of my life was as easy as clicking a little "x" in the screen and the rest was history. But now I can say I am proud of Uber's CEO, as well as Disney's CEO Bob Iger, for realizing that this man's values didn't align with their own and cutting their ties with him.
