This beautiful façade (very close to Majolika Haus) is the one of Palais Wernburg, built in 1896/97 in a magnificent neo-Renaissance style by the architect Franz Ritter von Neumann. The building entrance to the Palais Wernburg showcases four magnificent atlases carry the overlying balcony of the Belle Etage (6,5 m high!). On the ground floor you can find the famous Café Savoy (former Café Wienzeile).

Café Museum is one of the most important café in Vienna. It was the regular meeting place for composers, musicians and artists such as Klimt, Schiele, Olbrich, Otto Wagner and Adolf Loos, who designed this space in 1899. At the opening the Café was a scandal because of the rejection of luxuriant decorations, generally preferred around the fin de siecle. Loos also designed a special chair for Café Museum, produced by @wiener_gtv_design. As a Viennese Café is simply a place to visit ❤️

Beside the beautiful Majolica-Haus there is another famous buildings designed by architect Otto Wagner (1841-1918). This façade, completely different from the other one, is decorated in gilded stucco: you can notice amazing relief medallions with female heads and palm fronds, created by the founding member of the Sezession Koloman Moser. Love so much this façade, so delicate!

Majolika-Haus is one of the most famous buildings designed by architect Otto Wagner (1841-1918) in Wien. As you can see, its impressive façade is made uo of glazed tiles with floral patterns. This flower motif was created by Alois Ludwig, one of Wagner’s student. This is one of my favorite architectures ever! Ready to visit Wien with me? :-)
