Our younger dog Brinkley got really sick on Monday from what seems like a bug bite. Extreme dehydration from sudden vomiting resulting in low electrolytes and sugar levels causing her blood pressure to tank. She spent the night at the emergency vet, then home with me on Tuesday. She finally started to get better on Friday.
All week I was super stressed about her and a deadline that basically chewed me up and spit me out. I barely slept from the work and stress. I had such bad anxiety on Thursday night that my hands were shaking from it. Thankfully, the deadline was bumped to tomorrow at 12, but that just meant I had the pleasure of working another 8 hours today... yay... The biggest issue was that I was snapping at Autumn. I didn't like who I was because I was being so short with her for no reason other than being tired and anxious, and it wasn't her fault.
I am looking forward to resetting this week. So I took some time for a bubble bath, some bubbles (shit. I miss wine), and some (okay, a lot) of my fav caramels.
Craving tons of fruit and veggies lately (stop judging me for eating half a pineapple 🍍 as a snack yesterday...) so I grabbed a Noodle Salad (bun) from one of my favorite lunch spots near my office. The piled high crisp veggies with lemongrass tofu and a zesty dressing was just what I needed.
