So pleased with this @jenniferlaurenhandmade Laneway dress I made. You know a patterns good when you are already planning your next version before you've finished! I lengthened the bodice and other than altering for sleeveless, no other alterations were needed 👍 Mainly due to the fact it comes in different cup sizes. How fab is that? #lanewaydress#sewersofinstagram
Work in progress! I wanted to make a #lanewaydress but didn't want sleeves. I knew I would have to make some adjustments but wasn't really sure what I was doing. Just went for it in the end and adjusted the pattern pieces. I then read @neurula blog and was so pleased that I was going along the right lines 😊. Here's my test version from scraps. I've lengthened the bodice too. Such a good feeling when your adjustments work and you get the fit you want. Next, cut into my proper fabric ✂️
Yeay! Two weeks today and i'll be at the Great British Sewing Bee Live thanks to @rach_wain and the competition she ran 😊 don't know what I'm more excited about- all those lovely stalls to browse or the prospect of meeting Patrick Grant!
#truebiasogdencami finished just in time for meal out last night. Lengthened this one by 2 inches and took it in a little at the sides. Much better fit. Really pleased with this viscose fabric from @adamrossfabrics
Couldn't resist having a go at the #truebiasogdencami Forgot how hideous this fabric was to cut and sew with but I had just enough to make this up and check the size before I cut into my nice stuff. I think I'll make my proper version slightly longer.
