Hop Dogma Brewing Company  Craft brewery out of El Granada, CA - bringing you hand-crafted ales and lagers made with pride, love, and creativity.

File this under “what this industry is all about”. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to @benoitcasper Brewing for offering and allowing us to install two of our small fermenters in their space so we can keep from going crazy in this transition time and still get some brewing in. These guys rock and their beer is top notch. We miss stirring that mash. Excited to get back at it this week. Cheers!

Hanging out at @beerhallsf for a tap takeover with Hop Dogma @alphaacidbrewingco and @humblesea Brewing! Two fun collabs we were involved with. On the right is Wallaby Dingo Foxtrot. Our Southern Hemisphere hopped West Coast ipa collab with @benoitcasper . It’s Danky and drinks smooth and clean! On the left is Third Nibble. We did pretty much absolutely nothing on this one besides help decide to make a milk stout with our buddies at Alpha Acid and Humble Sea! Good job fellas, it’s amazing!!! This one is a dark beer lovers dream! Cheers! #sfbeerweek

With all these projects that require time, money, labor, etc it’s easy to get overwhelmed and stressed out. We got a little pick me up in the mail today though from the @bestofcraftbeerawards silver medal for Cucumber Rocket Surgery from the third largest competition in the country. Stoked! Looking forward to drinking one soon to celebrate. Cheers! #bestofcraftbeerawards #cucumberrocketsurgery #hopdogma

Had a blast collaborating with our friends at @alvaradostreetbrewery , @discretionbrewing , and @humblesea today. We brewed up a special hoppy beer tribute to our friends @beerthirtysantacruz for their anniversary! Stand by...this is a sexy one!!

We are already hard at work building out the new brewery. Scanning the post-tension concrete for drainage paths and putting up our new walk-in. #onwardandupward #hopdogma

Wow wow wow what a party. Thank you to everyone who came out to show support last night. It was truly overwhelming in a wonderful way. We are now officially closed in El Granada. We will be working furiously to open up the new location at 270 Capistrano Way. It’s goodbye for now but far from goodbye forever. We will only come out of this stronger and look forward to being able to expand our offerings and services. For now, we just want to say thank you and send you a giant virtual hug for all the support. Thank you!

Tonight we say goodbye to our cherished and beloved beginnings at the Liberty Court Taproom. It has been a wonderful four and a half years. Hopefully, we can look forward to seeing your smiling faces one last time there and you can help us diminish our beer inventory! Crews are hard at work renovating the new digs and we can’t wait to share with you soon. We are looking into the future and it’s as bright and beautiful as ever. We’ll see you on the other side.......of the highway that is! 😘

Well amigos, this is it. The last beer we will ever release from our current location. It’s been a surreal last few years and we are truly proud of the work we have done here. We took a humble little 3bbl system and made the absolute most out of it. Today we are releasing “The Grand Finale” an absolute hoppy juice bomb. Restrained bitterness but exploding with beautiful hoppy flavor. Made with Amarillo, Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic hops. We feel this is a great ending to this chapter of Hop Dogma and it’s a great way to go out on top. We hope you come try it.

On a separate note, we got amazing news today that we will be able to brew at our new location much sooner than expected. We are upgrading to a bigger and more advanced system and can’t wait to get to work. Our last day of service will be this Wednesday. Then we will be focusing all of our energy into our new space and making it an amazing place to escape to and enjoy the beautiful gift of beer. We are determined to make this seemingly unfortunate situation into the best decision we ever had to make. Cheers everyone. Thank you for the heartfelt and touching support. We will never forget it.

Friends, we have some news to share with you. Many of you have heard the rumors and we wish to address it. We’ve had an amazing four and a half years at our current location and will always cherish the great memories and good times had here. However, due to an unforeseen urgency to leave we will be relocating our taproom. Please see the attached press notice and believe in us that this move is going to be better for everyone involved, especially our valued and beloved patrons. The second picture in this post is of the new locations that we have secured. We look forward to bringing you an even better experience shortly. Stay tuned for progress updates and know that we will still be hard at work in the background making delicious beer for you in the meantime. Also, we will be offering deep discounts on all beers to attempt to make our move easier so we hope to see you one last time at Liberty Court. Much love. Cheers.

Anyone need a beer and a laugh or two?

We have several new beers up today including these two fun ones. On the left is “Moth to the Flame”. A west Coast style IPA with Amarillo, Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic hops. Great piny and dank aromas and a excellent mouthfeel on this one. On the right is “It’s NOT the Water”, an American Light Lager inspired by the macro beer our brewers keep getting caught drinking at @oldprincetonlanding
We also have a new barrel aged farmhouse ale that spent over a year in Chardonnay barrels and has a great wild aroma and flavor that is refreshing and delightful. Hope to see you in beautiful El Granada!

We wanted to give ya one last gift for the holiday season in the form of a brand new sticky fresh batch of Silly Gimmick DIPA! This batch is straight 🔥. As always, we like to switch things up and we added a secondary yeast this time around. Believe it. It’s even juicier and more dynamic than ever now! This will be the last sighting for awhile as we plan some new lineups for 2018 so come and get it! Cheers!
