Travaris Cadet could be on the move. The Saints running back has been placed on the trade block by New Orleans just after he re-signed with them in the offseason. In a running backs room that includes Adrian Peterson, Mark Ingram, and 3rd-round rookie Alvin Kamara, the Saints are likely looking to get something out of Cadet before they possibly release him. Cadet is not the kind of back you want to take a load of the carries, but is a solid 3rd-down option for a team in need of a pass catcher out of the backfield. He caught 40 passes for 281 yards and 4 touchdowns last season. #NFL #updates #Saints

BREAKING NEWS: Lions left tackle Taylor Decker will miss 4-6 months after undergoing surgery on a torn labrum. Decker suffered the injury during OTAs and will likely miss regular season time because of it as well as the rest of the offseason activities. Decker was the 16th overall pick in the 2016 Draft and is viewed and an up-and-coming top offensive tackle in the league by many. #NFL #updates #Lions

The chances of Nick Fairley playing again aren't promising. Fairley has been advised by one doctor that he should retire from football due to a heart condition, but was told by another doctor that he can continue playing. The defensive tackle will receive a 3rd opinion in the near future about his heart from a condition he has known about for years. In 2011, Fairley was diagnosed with an enlarged heart, but was cleared to play. It appears that something new has popped up that may end his career after signing a new four-year/$30 million with the Saints. He finished last season with 43 tackles and 6.5 sacks. #NFL #updates #Saints #Lions #Rams

Julian Edelman is getting a nice pay day. The Patriots wide receiver has officially signed a two-year/$11 million contract to keep him in Foxboro through the 2019 season. The deal includes $9 million guaranteed, a $5 million signing bonus, and $4 million in incentives. The Patriots are loaded at wide receiver, but Edelman stands above them all, providing Tom Brady with an excellent and reliable option in the receiving core. He finished the 2016 season with 119 receptions for 1,448 yards and 4 touchdowns in the regular season and postseason. #NFL #updates #Patriots

Have we seen the last of Dennis Pitta? The tight end has been released by the Ravens after suffering yet another hip injury in OTAs. Pitta was limited to only 7 games in 3 seasons from 2013-15 due to hip injuries and it was already questionable if he would ever play again, but the pass catcher would not give up and rebounded in 2016 with 86 receptions for 729 yards and 2 touchdowns while not missing a game. Unfortunately, another hip injury may nail the coffin shut on his career. #NFL #updates #Ravens

BREAKING NEWS: Jets plan to either trade or release wide receiver Eric Decker after 3 seasons with the team. This comes on the same day that the team released inside linebacker David Harris, who has been with the team since 2007 and is the franchise's 2nd all-time leading tackler. Decker joined the Jets in 2014 and created one of the best receiving duos in the NFL alongside Brandon Marshall. This move comes at an interesting time, after free agency and the draft, and New York will need to look internally to find his replacement. The Jets are going through a full makeover on offense. #NFL #updates #Jets

BREAKING NEWS: Eagles sign former Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount to a one-year/$2.8 million contract. The power back is coming off his best professional season, rushing 299 times for 1,161 yards and an eye-popping 18 touchdowns in 2016, but New England elected to let him test free agency. Blount joins a shallow backfield and adds more belief that Ryan Mathews may have played his last snap in Philly. #NFL #updates #Eagles #Patriots

INJURY UPDATE: Browns 4th-round rookie cornerback Howard Wilson suffered a kneecap fracture and has been ruled out indefinitely. Wilson suffered the injury during a non-contact drill and will miss a significant amount of time in his first season as a pro. Wilson amassed 54 tackles, 5 interceptions (one pick-six), and 10 passes defended in his final season at Houston. #NFL #updates #Browns #Draft #Houston

David Andrews isn't going anywhere. The Patriots center has agreed to a three-year/$9 million contract extension that can be increased to $11 million with incentives. Andrews joined the Pats in 2015 as an undrafted free agent and inherited the starting role in his first season. He was set to become a free agent after this coming season, but New England isn't willing to let him go. #NFL #updates #Patriots

INJURY UPDATE: The Texans have placed offensive tackle Derek Newton on the PUP list and announced that he will miss the entire 2017 season. Newton tore both of his patellar tendons in Week 7 of the 2016 season and will require another season of recovery before he is able to hit the field. Newton has been the Texans' starting right tackle for the past 5 seasons and had only missed 2 games before suffering the injury last season. #NFL #updates #Texans
