Camping gear and costume bins, plaid shirts and shiny pants. Handlebar mustaches, anthropomorphic fog, pixie cuts, piercings, an infinity of rainbow flags. Real. Fucking. Salsa. Pot smoking, composting, opinion having, change the worlding, conversation starting, garden growing. Don't forget your layers. Hello San Francisco, I am home 💖
Beginning the long journey home today. A whole bundle of emotions, but the one I keep coming back to right now is gratitude. So thankful for the opportunity to get to go on this adventure, for all of the weird and difficult and wonderful experiences I had, and most importantly for all of the people I met along the way who adventured with me, laughed with me, and taught me more than they'll ever know. Thank you.
Nothing about today feels like "the end"; it's merely a change in scenery. The adventure continues.
Absolutely stunning time in Khao Sok national park, even if on the last day we A. Had a medical emergency onboard the boat and B. on the way back to the pier ran out of gas causing us to C. wait an over an hour for rescue (that never came) while D. it poured literal buckets of rain on us. Or in other words, just over here going out with a bang 💥
Drove our motorbikes to the east side of the island and stumbled into a sea gypsy festival. Cap gun games, 40TBH Changs, meeting these guys and their families, and dancing the night away. Not another farang in sight. Food for my soul.
