17 years. Everyone who lived through it remembers exactly where we were that day and who we first called. Who we sat with in disbelief and terror as we tried to make sense of the unfathomable. We said things like, “Violence begets violence.” and “Fundamentalists of any religion or belief system are terrifying.” And now, 17 years later, where are we? How do we honor those who lost their lives and their loved ones in a meaningful way?
