It's true, we should spend our whole lives trying our best to be close to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Women who wear a headscarf for this month get mocked for wearing one. Men who wear a mosque hat also get mocked for wearing one. We live in a world where we are constantly judged by our actions, if we do not wear a headscarf people will question why isn't she wearing one. If a man does not go to read Tara'veeh Namaaz, he will get mocked for not being a good Muslim. If he starts to go and read he will also get questioned by those around him. Oh he never used to go before and all of a sudden during Ramadan only, he has started to go. We unfortunately live in a world where we are constantly judged by people. Subhaan'Allah that's the world we live in today. I remember seeing a meme saying 'you know it's Ramadan when the local drug dealers wear a mosque hat' admittedly I did find it funny at the time of reading it. When you are younger you find the silliest of things amusing. Now i look back and I feel ashamed for laughing at such a thing. Subhaan'Allah, is this the world we live in? Where we shoot one another down for our efforts in bid to try and be close to The One who has created us?. Do we really put one another off from being close to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Do not judge those around you, do not judge a woman who wears a headscarf during this month and then takes it off (we do not know what is going through her mind, we are not here to judge we are here to encourage and help and be kind). Maybe the month she wears it will help encourage her to wear it for good?. Keep your opinions to yourself if they are not good for the soul. Remember Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is always watching. If you do good, do good. If you see someone who has done bad, become good. Praise them, encourage them. Be the brother you are supposed to be. Be the sister a woman desperately needs. We all need guidance and we all need help sometimes. Show mercy and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will indeed show you mercy too. Ameen.
